Kabun walked through the quiet mountains alone, humming a tune and clutching a bag full of empty scrolls. He had a lot of work to do today if he wanted to meet his quota on elemental containment scrolls. He had started run low during his several training exercises the other day and he needed them filling up if he wanted to be prepared for an attack. He was fully kitted out for his journey, since the mountains were full of renegades and bandits, just waiting for some unwary traveller to show up so that they can pounce and leave them to die in the harsh environment of the steeps, not to mention the many dangerous predators that lived up there. Yes, Kabun's home was full of threats to ones mortality. That is what made living here so interesting.

He found a creek that was running down into a river below and took out one of the empty scrolls, placing it on the ground and making the appropriate handseals. The water began to be absorbed into the scroll, drinking into it without the paper becoming wet. Soon, it was full and Kabun repeated the processes a few more times until he was satisfied that he had enough. He already had enough of wind, fire and lightning now, have procured them earlier. There were plenty of other water sources closer to home but Kabun had wanted to take a relaxing stroll up to this pleasant creek.

His staff clicking upon the rocky, grassy ground, Kabun made his way back to Kumogakure. He was passing under the canopies of the mountain forest when he began to get the feeling that he was not alone. Looking around through the densely packed trees, he called out to whoever might be there. "Alright, you've had your fun. Now show yourselves. Be you man or demon, I do not appreciate being snuck up on", he shouted into the forest, one hand gripping the hilt of his sword while his other gripped his staff tighter. He was ready for whatever was out there.
